"Salut Paris" Urban Space Reconstruction Competition for Rebuilding Paris

The once integral part of the urban fabric, the tracks and stations of the small sculpture now only leave some traces and long-abandoned spaces. Over time, these have been covered by vegetation, forming a sprawling and overgrown relic. The future of this vast and desolate network remains uncertain and is in search of a timeless solution. Centurie is just one of the outdated areas in Paris. Abandoned industrial towns, warehouses, shopping malls, and more, once used up, face similar fates in many urban landscapes. However, due to its prime location, it still drives the interests of the surrounding residents and the region. The linearity of the space poses a challenge for urban planners and designers to utilize the area without deviating from its essential purpose—the tracks. It anticipates designers to explore a new type of public space.

The challenge here is to design and expand a part of the public space, transforming it into a community platform near the historic Ornano Street, which already has an existing garden and restaurant (Le erie and Jardins du Ruisseau), attracting tourists and local commuters looking for a local collaborative area.
